In 1993, IFRC’s founder, Mr. Noel F. Pelaez, saw his interest and passion in the insurance industry. From managing the family’s agri-business and attending to entrepreneurial ventures, he decided to do a career change. Having attended numerous workshops and trainings pertaining to the insurance industry, he then established a Non-Life Insurance Agency along with some close friends. Not long after, he was invited to be a part of an offshore intermediary, engaged in international insurance and investments. In the process, with clients seeking medical insurance, he eventually signed up for a distributorship with Pacific Cross Philippines (formerly Blue Cross Philippines).

Gradually, business relationships were established with various insurance and investment providers. As the business steadily grew and with associates joining the team, it was in 2004 that he decided to incorporate IFRC Insurance Agency backed by reputable insurance providers. Subsequently, an offshore company was set up to deal with IFRC’s international providers.

Thus, the “One Stop Financial Shop” was formally introduced.
